Extract from a Letter in Envoi 135

One of Envoi's strengths is Eddie Wainwright's reviews: considered and balanced. A contrast to Rob Withers' review of Brian Fewster's Poor Tom's Revenge, where he quotes three lines of one untypical poem to back up his own prejudices and wastes an entire paragraph on knocking the book for its cover. Although I know Brian Fewster (Leicester isn't a great, sprawling metropolis), I'm not defending his poems or attacking Rob Withers' views on them, however, I do expect reviews to be about the contents of a book.
